Phil Blank

moved to Philadelphia right before Covid after living in the south for 25 years. Mostly self-taught as an artist, he worked as a librarian for decades in Brooklyn and North Carolina. He now illustrates, paints, plays a variety of musical instruments, teaches and is active in the Philadelphia homeschool community as a parent and instructor. He is currently working on a series of large-scale oil paintings entitled “Sketches for a Diasporic Mural That Will Never Happen.”   More of his work may be seen at philblank.com
