Phil Blank

moved to Philadelphia right before Covid after living in the south for 25 years. Mostly self-taught as an artist, he worked as a librarian for decades in Brooklyn and North Carolina. He now illustrates, paints, plays a variety of musical instruments, teaches and is active in the Philadelphia homeschool community as a parent and instructor. He is currently working on a series of large-scale oil paintings entitled “Sketches for a Diasporic Mural That Will Never Happen.”   More of his art work may be seen at philblank.com, his music may be heard here, while his essays are to be found at Psychic Courtyardism.
