Emery Malachowski

was born in Lowell, Massachusetts, and is now falling in love with Pittsburgh, where they live with their partner and dog. They work in nonprofit violence response, write, participate in the august “Hour After Happy Hour” writers’ workshop, and make and share stories with friends. They love esoteric history and animation, and they are currently trying to learn the banjo, Yiddish, and many other things worth trying and failing to do. They graduated from Juniata College with a BA in the Literature of Power Dynamics in 2020. 96th of October is their first published fiction.
