was born in Wokingham, England, in 1953, although his family comes from the West of Ireland. For many years he was Head of Modern Languages in a large comprehensive school in Cleethorpes but is now retired and lives in Swindon. He has published nine individual collections of his poetry. Most recently, his Collected Poems was published by Littoral Press to coincide with his seventieth birthday. He is the founder and editor of the online journal The High Window.
